Our AAAHC-accredited Ambulatory Surgery Center is seeking an experienced Per Diem Registered Nurse who is comfortable working throughout the perioperative continuum.
This position requires an RN who can confidently function in Pre-Op, Operating Room Circulation, and PACU within an ASC setting.
Requirements
- Current California RN license
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Previous ambulatory surgery center or operating room experience
- Required experience in Plastic Surgery and/or Orthopedic Arthroscopy
- Demonstrated ability to independently perform preoperative nursing assessments and patient preparation, intraoperative circulating duties, post-anesthesia recovery (PACU)
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Flexible, dependable availability for scheduled per diem shifts
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive preoperative patient care and education
- Serve as the circulating RN during surgical procedures
- Monitor and recover patients safely in PACU
- Maintain accurate documentation and regulatory compliance
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical staff to ensure excellent patient outcomes
