2. Position Overview
As a Server Assistant at The Hermitage Hotel’s signature restaurant, Drusie & Darr, you play a vital role in supporting seamless, elevated dining experiences. You are a key contributor to the flow, polish, and refinement of service—ensuring that every table is impeccably maintained, every course transitions smoothly, and every guest feels genuinely cared for.

3. Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience & Service Support
- Assist servers by ensuring efficient delivery of food, beverages, and service items throughout each meal period.
- Maintain polished table readiness—including clearing, resetting, and refreshing settings with speed and care.
- Uphold refined service standards such as unobtrusive table maintenance, silent clearing techniques, and paced service transitions.
- Support anticipatory hospitality by observing guest cues and communicating needs promptly to servers and captains.
Dining Room Coordination & Floor Presence
- Maintain a composed, professional presence in all guest-facing areas.
- Ensure stations remain fully stocked with polished silver, glassware, linens, and service tools.
- Execute assigned side work, opening/closing tasks, and mid-shift resets to uphold ambiance and operational readiness.
- Collaborate with the front-of-house team to support smooth table seating, course pacing, and multi-course service flow.
Operational Excellence & Team Collaboration
- Maintain alignment with culinary and service teams to ensure timely and accurate food running.
- Assist with tray service, multi-table support, and coordination during peak guest volumes.
- Follow all safety, hygiene, and sanitation protocols to uphold the highest cleanliness and presentation standards.
- Communicate with attentiveness, clarity, and professionalism in a fast-paced, refined dining environment.
4. Qualifications & Requirements
Required Experience & Skills
- Prior experience in upscale or high-volume dining environments preferred.
- Strong communication skills; must speak conversational English.
- Professional appearance, polished demeanor, and dependable work habits.
- Ability to lift, carry, and transport trays and service items throughout the shift.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Schedule flexibility is essential, including availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays.
