We have an immediate opening in our Portland, Oregon office for Residential Sales and Estimator. We are a well-established company with over 25 years experience specializing in countertop supply, fabrication and installation. We work with homeowners, general contractors, builders and designers and help them bring their vision to life while staying on budget. We are seeking a dynamic residential sales and estimator to lead our countertop and cabinet operations for residential properties and small commercial projects. In this role, you will be the face of the office and oversee daily management of projects and staff, ensuring smooth operations within the office and warehouse while delivering exceptional service to our clients. Your leadership will drive operational excellence, foster team development, and uphold the company's commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist homeowners, designers, builders, and contractors in our showroom
- Assist customers on stone products, fabrication options, edge profiles, and installation processes
- Prepare estimates, proposals, and quotations
- Follow up on leads, quotes, and sales opportunities
- Read blueprints and perform material takeoffs
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls
- Manage customer communications via phone and email
- Develop and maintain relationships with industry professionals and repeat customers
- Coordinate showroom displays and samples with vendor representatives
- Maintain an organized, professional showroom environment
- Assist with social media content and showroom marketing efforts
- Support office operations and administrative tasks as needed
- Occasionally meet with customers or industry partners outside the showroom when required
- Address client inquiries or concerns promptly while maintaining professional communication with residents and business owners.
- Support Marketing and Social Media platforms
- Generate and qualify new leads from homeowners, builders, contractors, designers, and remodelers.
- Meet with customers in showrooms, at job sites, or virtually to discuss countertop needs and preferences.
- Negotiate pricing and close sales while meeting company goals.
- Organize and Maintain customer records, files and sales activities in company shared files.
- Stay current with products, materials, colors, and industry developments.
- Build relationships with contractors, builders, designers, suppliers, and other referral partners.
- Communicate with bookkeeper and office staff to ensure contracts are processed appropriately and invoicing is done in a timely manner.

- Previous sales experience, preferably in countertops, flooring, cabinetry, home improvement, construction materials, or building products.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
- Familiarity with measuring, estimating, and reading basic construction plans or drawings.
- Strong customer service and relationship-building abilities.
- Ability to prepare accurate quotes and estimates.
- Ability to walk job sites and stand for extended periods in a showroom environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- 3–5+ years of project management experience in countertops, stone fabrication, cabinetry, construction, remodeling, or a related industry preferred- but we are willing to train specifics to our industry.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams, including sales, templating, fabrication, installation, and warehouse staff.
- Proven experience overseeing operations, production, scheduling, logistics, and customer service.
- Familiarity with inventory management, purchasing, and vendor relations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with email marketing and digital advertising platforms is a plus.
- Relevant Certifications in construction, project management, business, sales, marketing, interior design or related field is a plus.
