Pay: $20/hour + Bonus Commission for Estimates Booked
Position Overview
Porcupine Paint is looking for a reliable, outgoing, and professional individual to represent our company at an upcoming home show. This role is focused on engaging with homeowners, generating interest in our services, and booking in-home painting estimates directly from our booth.
This is a short-term, part-time position ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with people, is comfortable starting conversations, and can maintain energy and professionalism in a busy event environment.
Key Responsibilities
Booth Operations
- Assist with booth setup prior to the start of the event
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional booth appearance throughout the show
- Assist with tear down at the conclusion of the event
Lead Generation & Customer Engagement
- Greet attendees in a friendly, confident manner
- Initiate conversations with homeowners about their painting needs
- Qualify prospects and book in-home painting estimates directly at the booth
- Accurately collect customer information (name, phone number, address, email if available)
- Represent the Porcupine Paint brand in a professional and positive way
Compensation
- $20 per hour (approximately 24 hours total)
- Performance Bonus: Additional commission based on the number of qualified estimates booked during the event
- Bonus structure will be clearly outlined prior to the event
- Strong performance can significantly increase total earnings for the weekend ($500-1000+ total for the weekend potential)
Ideal Candidate
- Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable talking with new people
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to stand and remain engaged for extended periods
- Sales, customer service, or event experience is a plus (not required)
- Comfortable using a phone or tablet to enter customer information

- A steady flow of qualified estimates is booked throughout the weekend
