Animal Emergency Service is hiring a Part-Time Veterinary Assistant to support our doctors and technicians in providing outstanding emergency and critical care. We’re looking for someone who is compassionate, hard-working, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
Position Details
- Schedule: Saturdays, 5:00 PM – 12:00 AM
- Location: Animal Emergency Service
- Part-time position with the option to pick up open shifts on as needed basis
Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians and technicians with patient restraint, treatments, and sample collection
- Triaging
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in exam rooms and treatment areas
- Restock supplies and assist with hospital flow
- Provide compassionate care and comfort to patients
- Communicate clearly with team members to ensure efficient patient care
Qualifications:
- Prior veterinary or animal handling experience preferred
- Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure
- Willingness to learn and assist wherever needed
- Flexible availability — evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required
- Must be able to safely handle animals of varying sizes and temperaments
