Bailey Brigade Executive Director (Part-Time)
Bailey Brigade is a Northwest Florida nonprofit serving those impacted by cancer. Our work is accomplished in three main ways:
- Providing patients our Brigade Backpacks filled with comfort care items and resources
- Allocating qualifying families with financial assistance and transportation help
- Granting annual scholarships to high school students entering the health sciences.
The Executive Director provides the day-to-day leadership and management of Bailey Brigade and reports directly to the Board of Directors. This position oversees programs, fundraising, communications, volunteers, community partnerships, and administrative operations while helping advance the organization's mission and long-term growth.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, and making things happen. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable thinking strategically and executing the work that brings those ideas to life. One hour you may be meeting with a donor, the next you're coordinating backpack deliveries, planning a fundraising event, or updating the website. No task is too big or too small when it helps further our mission.
The ideal candidate has experience in nonprofit leadership, fundraising, marketing, communications, event planning, project management, or a related field.

Key Responsibilities:
Organizational Leadership
- Execute the strategic priorities established by the Board of Directors.
- Manage the organization's day-to-day operations.
- Prepare Board meeting materials and organizational updates.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and organizational impact.
Programs
- Oversee Bailey Brigade programs, including backpack inventory, assembly, and distribution.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers and community partners to ensure timely program delivery.
- Maintain accurate program records and organizational systems.
Fundraising & Community Engagement
- Support fundraising campaigns, grants, sponsorships, donor stewardship, and special events.
- Build relationships with donors, volunteers, healthcare providers, businesses, and community partners.
- Represent Bailey Brigade at meetings, networking events, and community functions.
Communications & Marketing
- Oversee the organization's website, email communications, and social media.
- Manage the Marketing Associate and coordinate marketing initiatives.
- Ensure all communications consistently reflect Bailey Brigade's mission and brand.
Administration & Financial Support
- Maintain organizational records, policies, and governance documents.
- Coordinate required state and federal filings.
- Partner with the Treasurer to support budgeting and financial reporting.
Compensation & Schedule
- Part-time position, up to 30 hours per week
- Hourly compensation based on experience
- Six-month introductory employment period
- Performance review after 90 days
