Online Sales Consultant Job Description
An Online Sales Consultant for New Home Construction plays a crucial role in guiding potential buyers through the online sales process. The primary goal is to provide exceptional customer service and convert online leads into sales appointments.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Ensure timely follow-up on all electronic leads, employing problem-solving, exceptional customer service, and effective communication to generate enthusiasm among potential buyers.
- Manage leads in CRM database.
- Ensure the accuracy and cleanliness of the CRM database by regularly updating and verifying customer information to support efficient and effective sales and marketing efforts.
- Use excellent communication skills to ask pertinent questions and understand buyers' needs, preferences, and goals. Gather additional prospect information to assist in tailoring product recommendations, pricing, timelines, and location.
- Cultivate and nurture relationships with prospects through phone and email interactions, fostering a positive and trusting connection.
- Use Stone Martin Builders' follow-up processes to engage, nurture, and convert online leads into qualified prospects.
- Conduct targeted outbound calls to engage leads and prospects who have previously interacted with Stone Martin Builders.
- Facilitate the scheduling of appointments between potential homebuyers and the sales team. Organize personal tours at preferred communities and model homes to showcase the offerings.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of Stone Martin Builders product features and benefits, allowing for informative and persuasive interactions with potential buyers.
- Act as an internal champion for maintaining the quality and accuracy of the company’s website content. Collaborate closely with the sales and marketing team to plan and execute targeted mass email marketing messages that align with business objectives.
- Provide valuable feedback on electronic lead generation efforts, marketing strategy, and execution, including trials with new lead sources, generation activities, and follow-up.
- Engage in ongoing training and development, including weekly calls, bi-weekly sales meetings, and one-on-one training sessions, to remain informed and effective in the role.
- Assist with special projects as requested and perform additional duties as required
Qualifications and Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required, bachelor’s degree preferred, in marketing or related business field.
- Two (2) years of prior experience in a sales-related and/or customer service field. Real estate or homebuilding industry experience is preferred.
- Ability to work independently to achieve tasks and objectives
- Ability to interpret and evaluate information to make informed decisions that benefit potential
buyers
- Self-motivated with an enthusiastic, customer-service-oriented personality.
- Possess strong negotiation and organizational skills, along with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for high interaction with potential buyers
- Displays decisiveness, good judgment, and the ability to solve problems using analytical skills
- Maintains a consistently positive attitude, fostering a collaborative team spirit
- Demonstrates proficiency in using Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook , and effectively managing
CRM systems.
- Familiarity with online communication tools such as Microsoft Teams and Video Messaging platforms is considered a valuable asset.
- Possesses a keen eye for detail coupled with exceptional follow-up skills and a strong focus on providing excellent customer service.
- Effectively prioritizes tasks, manages multiple projects concurrently, and thrives in situations with tight deadlines.
Other Requirements:

Physical Requirements*
The Online Sales Consultant position is a physically demanding position that requires the following:
- Ability to occasionally stand, walk, or sit up for 8 or more hours per day.
- Repetitive use of hands in an office environment; use of a computer, phone, copier, etc.
- Hearing and talking with several people during or most of the entire work shift.
- Being able to move around in the office/work area independently.
