Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled culinary professional to join our team as a lead baker. This role involves preparing, decorating, and packaging a variety of baked goods (mainly bagels) in a fast-paced food production environment. Duties
- Package finished products ensuring presentation quality and adherence to food safety guidelines
- Assist with food production tasks including mixing, baking, and cooking as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace in compliance with health regulations
- Handle food ingredients safely, following proper storage and handling procedures
- Support catering events or special orders by preparing customized desserts or baked items
- Ensure all products meet quality standards before packaging and delivery
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship
Qualifications
- Proven experience in rolling, boiling, and proofing bagels
- Knowledge of food handling safety protocols and kitchen sanitation practices
- Experience in food production, preparation, or catering within the food industry or restaurant environment
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with baking equipment and tools
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills when interacting with clients or team members
- Culinary experience including cooking, food safety certification, or related training is highly desirable
- Prior experience in bakery, pastry shop, or restaurant settings is advantageous
