Patient Advocate(Sales)- Full Time Employment
Defy Therapeutics is a specialty bed company that provides patients with Air Fluidized Therapy beds in the comfort of their homes. The products we provide are for patients suffering from Chronic Pressure Injuries and call mostly on sources in the wound care sector of healthcare. That includes Hospitals, Specialty Hospitals, Wound Clinics, Home Health and Nursing Homes. We operate and serve patients within the Midwest, including Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky and Illinois. Defy Therapeutics was created in 2020 with one simple mission-to enable access to Air Fluidized Therapy Beds for patients suffering from chronic pressure ulcers. The Patient Advocate position at Defy Therapeutics will be responsible all sales-related duties assigned to them. Those duties are described below. This position will report to the Sales Director and will be responsible for generating sales and working with operations to deliver the products when needed. Qualified individuals for this position will possess a bachelor’s degree and at least (2) years of work experience in the healthcare industry or a high school diploma with at least (5) years of work experience in this type of role. Experience in the Durable Medical Equipment Industry would be the priority.
Duties:
· Maintain a sales territory and call on referral sources continually
-Build relationships with physicians and nurses to create a network of referrals
-Manage Inservice meetings with staff to educate on qualifications of the specialty products
· Work Patient Files continually
· Conduct Home Assessments with patients to identify needs
Must have a valid drivers license and pass a background check.
