Outside Sales Representative – Wholesale Distribution
Key Responsibilities:
- Travel within assigned territory to meet with existing and prospective customers
- Promote and sell company products to wholesale clients, including retailers, contractors, and industrial buyers
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to drive repeat business and long-term loyalty
- Analyze customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions from the product portfolio
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations, quotes, and product demonstrations
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activity, and pipeline updates
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets and KPIs
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., management, inside sales and purchasing) to ensure smooth order fulfillment and customer satisfaction
- Provide post-sale support and resolve customer issues promptly and professionally
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in outside sales or equivalent, preferably in wholesale distribution or related industries
- Strong understanding of sales techniques, negotiation, and customer service
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the territory
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to interpret sales data and market trends
- Familiarity with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
