Job Summary
HoneySalt Bakery is hiring a Night Baker to join our production team. This role is responsible for preparing and baking daily bagel production and setting up dough for the following day. The position plays a key role in ensuring product quality, consistency, and readiness before daily operations begin. This is an overnight position with a steady schedule and a focus on independent work.
Schedule
- Sunday through Thursday
- 2:00 AM to 10:00 AM
Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake products according to production schedule
- Mix, shape, proof, and bake doughs following established recipes
- Monitor oven temperatures and baking times
- Ensure all products meet quality and appearance standards
- Form bagels for next-day production
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Wash dishes and maintain sanitation standards
- Follow food safety and FIFO practices
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- Comfortable working in a hot environment
- Must be reliable and able to work independently
- Previous baking or kitchen experience required
- Strong attention to detail and time management
- No jewelry, nail polish, or acrylic nails allowed during shifts
- Consistent product quality
- Production completed on schedule
- Clean, organized, and compliant work area
- Minimal waste and strong attention to detail
