We're looking for an HR Generalist who loves the day-to-day of HR and takes pride in getting the details right. You'll be the go-to person for our employees, the one who answers their questions, walks them through a leave of absence, gets their first day right, and makes sure nothing falls through the cracks.
This role is the backbone of HR at Marwin. You'll partner closely with the HR Manager, who sets the strategy, while you own the execution that makes it real. And you'll be our resident expert on leave administration and workplace accommodations, an area where you'll have full ownership from day one.
What You'll Own
Leave administration and accommodations
-
Own FMLA administration from start to finish: eligibility, notices, certifications, tracking, and return-to-work.
-
Lead the ADA interactive process, working with employees, their providers, and supervisors to find accommodations that work.
-
Coordinate personal leaves, short-term disability, and workers’ compensation claims.
-
Be the trusted, confidential resource employees turn to when life happens, and keep supervisors informed of what they need to know without oversharing.
-
Keep clean, audit-ready leave and accommodation records.
Onboarding and offboarding
-
Run the onboarding process: offer letters, background checks, new hire paperwork, I-9s, E-Verify, and first-day setup.
-
Deliver a first day that makes new hires glad they said yes.
-
Process terminations in ADP and handle exit logistics, so departures are clean and respectful.
HRIS and records
-
Keep employee data accurate in ADP Workforce Now: new hires, pay changes, transfers, and terminations.
-
Maintain personnel files and I-9 records that would pass an audit tomorrow.
-
Pull reports and help the HR Manager turn people data into insights.
Recruiting support
-
Post openings, screen applicants, schedule interviews, and keep candidates warm.
-
Partner with the HR Manager and hiring leaders to keep the pipeline moving.
Employee support and engagement
-
Be the first stop for employee questions on benefits, policies, and pay.
-
Support open enrollment, benefits changes, and qualifying life events.
-
Help bring engagement and retention initiatives to life on the floor.
-
Support employee relations matters, gathering facts and documentation under the HR Manager’s direction.
What You Bring
-
A bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or a related field is preferred, but not required. Equivalent experience gets you there just as well.
-
3 or more years of hands-on HR experience, ideally in manufacturing or production
-
Strong working knowledge of FMLA and ADA, including real experience administering leaves and running the interactive process. This is the heart of the role.
-
Familiarity with I-9, E-Verify, FLSA, and EEO requirements
-
A high standard for accuracy, confidentiality, and follow-through
-
Warmth and approachability. Employees should feel comfortable bringing you the hard stuff.
-
Experience with ADP Workforce Now or a similar HRIS is a plus
-
Bilingual in Spanish is a nice bonus, but not required
