Southern Champion Tray is seeking experienced Gluer Machine Operators to join our packaging manufacturing operation in Chattanooga, TN. We are looking for operators who can safely set up, run, troubleshoot, and maintain folder-gluer equipment while producing high-quality products at efficient production rates.
Candidates with folding carton, paperboard, corrugated packaging, printing, converting, or finishing experience are encouraged to apply.
What You'll Do
- Set up and operate folder-gluer equipment to meet production and quality standards
- Perform machine adjustments and changeovers for new production runs
- Monitor production output and inspect finished products for quality
- Troubleshoot machine issues and assist with repairs as needed
- Maintain accurate production records and machine documentation
- Communicate effectively with production, quality, and maintenance teams
- Minimize downtime through proactive machine monitoring and problem-solving
- Perform routine cleaning and preventative maintenance
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment following 5S and food safety standards
What We're Looking For
- Experience operating folder-gluer equipment preferred
- Experience with folding carton, paperboard, corrugated packaging, converting, printing, or finishing operations
- Experience with BOBST, Jagenberg, International, or similar gluing equipment is a plus
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and maintain production standards
- Basic computer skills
- High School Diploma or GED
Schedule
- Night Shift
- 6:30 PM – 6:30 AM
- 3-day / 12-hour rotating schedule
