Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into a rewarding school-based contract opportunity for an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist in beautiful Southern California. This onsite role serves students with a wide range of communication needs, offering the chance to make a lasting difference throughout a full school-year assignment, with preference given to those able to commit beyond one academic year. The highest priority need is for PreK, with a high possibility the position could be itinerant, supporting multiple sites as needed.
Candidates who are bilingual in Spanish are highly valued, though applications from monolingual SLPs are welcome. The caseload is primarily mild to moderate, with some students having more significant needs and requiring AAC device support. Those with previous experience utilizing SEIS and California Medicaid (Paradigm) are especially encouraged to apply. New graduates completing their Clinical Fellowship will also be considered.
Qualifications
- Valid SLP-CCC or eligibility to practice as a Clinical Fellow (CF)
- Certificate of Clearance (COC) required
- Strong preference for bilingual Spanish speakers
- Previous experience in a school setting, with SEIS/CA Medicaid (Paradigm) knowledge preferred
- Comfort working onsite and willingness to serve PreK and possibly itinerant roles
- Experience with AAC devices and a broad range of student needs
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct SLP services to students PreK–grade 12, with emphasis on PreK
- Develop and implement IEP goals and interventions
- Collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers
- Document progress and maintain compliance with district and state/district requirements
