The Compliance Specialist I plays a key role in supporting New Freedom’s compliance and regulatory efforts by helping ensure our programs operate with accuracy, integrity, and alignment to required standards.
This is a hands-on, detail-driven role that partners closely with the Quality & Compliance Director and internal teams to support audits, licensing readiness, documentation, and ongoing compliance initiatives.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured, fast-paced environment, takes ownership of their work, and values precision, organization, and follow-through.

- Supporting regulatory compliance and monitoring efforts, including licensing and accreditation requirements
- Assisting with internal audits, surveys, and licensing readiness activities to ensure program compliance
- Maintaining accurate, organized, and confidential documentation and records in compliance with regulatory standards
- Contributing to quality improvement initiatives and risk identification efforts
- Collaborating with internal teams to address compliance gaps and support operational readiness
- Providing administrative and project support to ensure deadlines, priorities, and compliance activities are executed effectively

Excellent communication, organizational, time management, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills

Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also taking initiative when appropriate

Proficiency with computer systems and software, including MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Team), internet-based tools, and electronic documentation systems or Electronic Health Records (EHR)

Proven success in a compliance, regulatory, quality, or related administrative role

Experience in behavioral health, outpatient healthcare, managed care, or substance use treatment settings
