Part Time Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) or Veterinary Assistant

We are a full-service small animal hospital in beautiful Moorpark, California with two veterinarians, a collaborative team culture, and a wide variety of medical and surgical cases. From wellness visits and dentistry to advanced procedures and surgery, no two days are the same here. We’re also proudly home to three very spoiled hospital cats who help keep morale high.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking either:
- A California Registered Veterinary Technician (or RVT-eligible candidate), OR
- An experienced Veterinary Assistant with at least 1 year of veterinary experience
Avimark experience is a plus, but we are happy to train the right candidate.

Skills & Responsibilities
Depending on experience and licensing level, responsibilities may include:
- Patient restraint and nursing care
- Anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
- Catheter placement and blood draws
- Laboratory sample collection and in-house diagnostics
- Digital radiography and ultrasound assistance
- Dental cleanings and dental radiographs (preferred but not required)
- Surgical assistance
- Nail trims and anal gland expressions
- Accurate medical record keeping and charge entry
- Client education and communication
- Working closely with doctors to provide excellent patient care
RVTs will have the opportunity to fully utilize and continue advancing their technical skills.

- Thursdays: 9am - 6pm
- Fridays: 9am - 6pm
- Saturdays: 8am - 1pm
Compensation
Pay is based on experience, skill level, and licensing status. Competitive compensation offered, with higher pay available for experienced RVTs.
