Role: Cath Lab Technician
Location: Hickory, NC-28601
Position: Full Time + Benefits
Must Have:
~Current ARRT or RCIS certification required.
~Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
~Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
Nice to Have:
Hospital experience in Acute or Rehab setting.
Duties:
1. Patient Preparation & Care
- Prepare patients for procedures like angiograms, angioplasty, and stent placement.

Explain procedures and help reduce patient anxiety.

Monitor vital signs (heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen levels).

Ensure proper patient positioning and sterile field maintenance
- ️ 2. Assisting During Procedures
- Assist cardiologists during cardiac catheterization procedures.

Hand instruments and catheters to the physician

Operate imaging equipment (fluoroscopy/X-ray systems)

Monitor patient condition throughout the procedure
- Set up and calibrate cath lab equipment.

Ensure all devices (monitors, contrast injectors, imaging systems) are functioning properly.

Maintain sterile instruments and supplies.

Troubleshoot equipment issues during procedures.
- Record procedure details and patient data

Monitor ECG (heart rhythm) and report abnormalities

Maintain accurate patient records and procedure logs.
- Assist in patient recovery and monitoring

Apply pressure to catheter insertion site to prevent bleeding.

Educate patients on post-procedure care instructions.
- Follow radiation safety protocols.

Maintain infection control standards.

Adhere to hospital policies and healthcare regulations.
- Knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and procedures.
