Heavy truck experience required.
Air brake experience is required.
You must furnish your own tools. (There is a basic, bare minimum tool list requirement).
Duties may include (but not be limited to) the following:
- General truck repairs (brakes, drive-line, suspension, etc.)
- Truck equipment repair including bodies, hoists, cranes, tarping systems, etc.
- PM services, oil changes, chassis servicing, etc.
- Brake system repairs (shoes, drums, slacks, etc.)
- Electrical troubleshooting,
- Repairs found during MD State Inspections and/or PM’s
- Yearly Federal Annual DOT & MD State COMAR Inspections, etc.
- Air conditioning knowledge & certification preferred, but not required. We will train the right individual.
Looking to expand your skill set to include hydraulics? The right individual may also be trained in servicing & repairing truck mounted cranes & forklifts, rebuilding hydraulic cylinders, pumps & motors, piping systems, etc.
Candidate must have a valid driver's class "C" license (minimum). Any class CDL license is preferred but not required. The best applicant should be able to obtain a class B or class A license. Automatic pre-set salary increases upon possession of valid CDL license.
The BEST qualified candidate will already possess a MD State vehicle inspector’s license (or obtain it within 6 months.) But we will train the right individual and pay for all testing. Automatic pre-set salary increases upon possession of inspector’s license.
Protective steel toe boots required.
Minimum of 40 hrs weekly. 8 am - 4:30 pm Monday to Friday with no 2nd or 3rd shifts or nights!
Overtime may be available and is mostly voluntary whenever possible.
