We are seeking a skilled Foam in Place Injection Molding Technician to join our team for 2nd shift.

Position Summary: The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining foam-in-place injection molding equipment, ensuring consistent part quality and production efficiency. This role involves setting up, troubleshooting, and maintaining the machinery, while adhering to quality control standards and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
- Proven experience as a Foam In Place Injection Molding Technician or similar role in automotive manufacturing.
- Knowledge of foam materials and injection techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Physical stamina and ability to work in various environments.
Primary Position Responsibilities:
- Set up foam-in-place injection molding equipment and prepare work areas.
- Mix foam materials according to specifications.
- Apply foam to automotive components, including panels, doors, and other parts.
- Monitor foam application to ensure consistency and quality.
- Perform equipment checks and adjustments throughout the day.
- Clean and maintain equipment after use.
- Document daily work activities and material usage.
- Communicate with supervisors and team members about project progress and any issues encountered.
- Participate in quality control inspections and procedures.
- Identify and address any quality issues promptly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setup and Operation: Set up and start foam-in-place injection molding machines, adjusting parameters like temperature, pressure, and time to ensure optimal performance.
- Material Handling: Load materials, identify and prepare resins, and manage raw mold materials to prevent contamination.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues with machines, materials, or molds to ensure consistent quality and production.
- Quality Control: Inspect molded parts for defects, ensuring they meet manufacturing specifications and quality standards.
- Documentation: Keep detailed records of mold changes, machine adjustments, and production logs.
- Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance tasks on machines and equipment, ensuring they are clean and well-maintained.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in the molding process and implement changes to optimize efficiency.
- Mold Changes: Change molds, ensuring they are properly installed and adjusted.
- Auxiliary Equipment: Set up and operate auxiliary equipment like dryers, chillers, and robots.
- Training: Train new technicians on operating procedures and troubleshooting techniques.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in quality control procedures and help identify and resolve quality issues.
