Overview
We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care, dental hygiene procedures, and clinical support. This role offers an opportunity to deliver high-quality preventive dental services while fostering positive patient relationships and maintaining the highest standards of safety and infection control.
Responsibilities
Airflow technology- GBT
- Perform dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments, ensuring thorough removal of plaque and tartar.
- Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to inform treatment plans.
- Educate patients on oral health practices, including proper brushing, flossing techniques, and dietary advice to promote optimal oral hygiene.
- Assist dentists during various procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records, treatment notes, and medical histories in electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
- Follow strict infection control protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures, to ensure a safe clinical environment.
- Monitor vital signs and provide basic medical imaging support when necessary, adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality.
Requirements
- Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to perform dental hygiene procedures.
- Proven experience in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry settings with familiarity in pediatric dental care preferred.
- Proficiency with EHR systems such as Dentrix is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and medical terminology.
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with diverse patient populations.
- Experience in chairside assisting, medical coding, documentation review, and medical records management is advantageous.
