Medical Social Worker (MSW - Master of Social Work)
Location - Mission Viejo, CA
Duration - 13 Weeks
Position Overview:
Seeking an experienced Medical Social Worker (MSW) to provide psychosocial support, discharge planning, care coordination, and resource management in an acute care hospital setting. Candidates must have recent acute care experience and be comfortable managing a high patient caseload.
Assignment Details:
- Caseload: 20–23 patients
- Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required
- First-time travelers not accepted
- Every other weekend required
- Floating required to affiliated facilities, including Laguna campus
- Maximum of 7 days requested time off
Required Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW)
- Active Social Work license as required by state regulations
- Minimum 1 year of Acute Care Hospital experience
- Experience with discharge planning and care coordination
- Strong communication, assessment, and resource management skills
