Job Description
Elite Construction & Maintenance Inc. is seeking an experienced Part-Time Construction Estimator with a strong background in commercial construction, site work, concrete, and projects.
This position is ideal for an experienced estimator who can provide support during the bidding process by preparing accurate estimates, reviewing plans, performing takeoffs, and assisting with project pricing.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects.
- Review architectural, civil, and structural drawings.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and material calculations.
- Estimate projects involving:
- Site work and land development
- Excavation and grading
- Concrete flatwork, slabs, foundations, sidewalks, and curbs
- Parking lots and infrastructure improvements
- Hotel construction projects
- Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing.
- Prepare bid proposals and cost breakdowns.
- Identify project scope requirements, exclusions, and potential risks.
- Provide estimating support to project management and company leadership.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of construction estimating experience.
- Proven experience with commercial construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of site work and concrete estimating.
- Experience with hotels, or large commercial projects preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of Florida construction costs and subcontractor pricing preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Experience with estimating software is a plus.
