Gard Estate Wines & Inn is looking for a dependable, passionate Part-Time Line Cook to join our hospitality team. If you enjoy creating great food in a welcoming winery atmosphere, we'd love to meet you!
Position Overview
This position includes preparing and serving breakfast for our inn guests on weekend mornings, as well as assisting with lunch, dinner, special events, and winery food service throughout the week as needed.
Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with the Head Chef to execute seasonal menus, prepare for events, and maintain the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
- Prepare and cook breakfast for weekend inn guests.
- Prepare menu items according to recipes for high quality and consistency standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen.
- Assist with food prep, stocking, and inventory management.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and hospitality team to create an exceptional guest experience.
Qualifications
- Previous line cook or kitchen experience preferred.
- Breakfast cooking experience is a plus.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
- Current Washington State Food Worker Card (or ability to obtain one).
Schedule
- Part-time (15–25 hours per week)
- Weekend morning shifts required for breakfast service.
- Additional weekday, evening, and weekend shifts available based on winery events and business needs.
