Join our dynamic team as a CDL A Truck Driver specializing in Dry Van freight! We have been in business for over 80 years. This exciting role offers the opportunity to operate modern tractor-trailers across over-the-road (OTR) routes, delivering essential goods efficiently and safely. We serve the upper midwest states, Iowa, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Michigan and Wisconsin. As a key player in our logistics network, you'll be responsible for transporting freight via dry van trailers, ensuring timely pick up and deliveries while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers equipped with dry van trailers across designated OTR routes, maintaining compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
- Use GPS navigation systems to plan efficient routes, ensuring on-time delivery schedules.
- Load and unload freight with manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo is secured properly for transit.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking brakes, tires, lights, and load securement.
- Deliver freight accurately to customer locations, including handling special cargo such as hazardous materials (Hazmat) when qualified.
- Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, delivery records, and inspection reports in compliance with federal regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery times and resolve any issues promptly.
Experience
- Valid CDL A license with clean driving record; experience operating tractor-trailers in dry van configurations preferred.
- Proven experience with commercial truck driving on long-haul or OTR routes; familiarity with route planning using GPS navigation tools.
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols for truck driving.
- Hands-on experience with truck loading/unloading procedures and logistics cargo handling.
- Ability to handle manual transmission trucks and perform manual handling tasks safely.
- Experience with freight management systems or electronic logging devices (ELDs).
- Prior delivery driver experience is highly valued; familiarity with route driving and delivery protocols enhances success in this role.

Pay: $1,200.00 - $1,500.00 per week
