Job Overview
Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a CNC Machinist and play a vital role in producing high-precision components for diverse industries. In this energetic role, you'll operate and program CNC machines, including lathes and milling machines, to craft parts with exceptional accuracy. Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC lathes and milling machines using Fanuc controls or similar systems
- Develop and modify CNC programs utilizing CAM programming software to optimize machining processes
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and engineering specifications
- Perform precise measurements with calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to verify part dimensions
- Use hand tools, power tools, and tooling to assemble components or prepare raw materials for machining
- Conduct routine maintenance on CNC equipment and ensure proper calibration using precision measuring instruments
- Follow lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste in machining operations
Experience
- Must have at least three years CNC experience.
- Proven experience operating CNC machines such as CNC milling machines and CNC lathes in a manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately
- Familiarity with CNC programming, including G-code editing and CAM software like SolidWorks or CAD systems
- Experience with electrical discharge machining (EDM) is a plus
- Knowledge of plastics injection molding processes is beneficial but not required
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines confidently
- Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and machining parameters
