Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Early Childhood Teacher to lead engaging and developmentally appropriate classrooms for 3- and 4-year-old children. This vital role involves creating a nurturing environment that promotes social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to fostering a love of learning through innovative curriculum development, hands-on activities, and positive interactions. You will play a key role in supporting early childhood development and ensuring each child's unique needs are met with care and professionalism.
Duties
- Develop and implement dynamic, age-appropriate curricula tailored to the developmental stages of 3- and 4-year-olds, incorporating literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and Montessori methods where applicable
- Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and social interaction
- Plan and execute daily lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards and individualized learning goals
- Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement strategies and behavior management techniques
- Support children’s emotional well-being by fostering strong relationships, promoting social skills, and addressing individual needs including those related to special education or early intervention programs
- Collaborate with families to communicate progress, address concerns, and support child welfare initiatives
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, standardized testing results, and lesson plans to ensure compliance with educational guidelines
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education
- Proven experience in classroom management, lesson planning, and curriculum development for preschool-aged children
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and specialists in special education or early intervention
- Ability to work with children requiring additional support such as those in special education or early intervention programs
- Familiarity with classroom experience involving daycare or private school settings; Montessori training is a plus
- Competence in teaching physical education activities that promote motor skills development
- Knowledge of standardized testing procedures related to early childhood assessment tools
- Demonstrated ability to implement literacy education strategies and integrate math concepts into daily activities
- Experience working with toddlers or preschoolers in childcare or daycare environments is highly desirable

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
