Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Door Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of commercial door systems and related hardware. Your expertise will ensure that our clients’ facilities operate smoothly and securely. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects involving fabrication, carpentry, electrical work, and mechanical systems. Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain commercial doors including overhead doors, security gates, and operable walls using hand tools and power tools.
- Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute installation and repair tasks.
- Perform glass installation, door hanging, frame carpentry, metal stud framing, and fixture or cabinet installation as needed.
- Conduct welding and fabrication work to modify or create custom door components or frames.
- Utilize locksmithing skills for lock installation, adjustment, or replacement to ensure security standards are met.
- Handle heavy lifting safely while transporting materials or equipment on construction sites.
- Perform caulking, trim carpentry, electrical work (including schematics), and other remodeling tasks to complete projects efficiently. Experience
- Proven experience with glass installation, welding, hand tools, power tools, and construction site work.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and mechanical systems related to commercial doors and hardware.
- Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques such as welding or metalworking.
- Familiarity with electrical systems relevant to door operators or security features is a plus.
- Construction or remodeling experience with carpentry skills including frame carpentry and metal stud framing.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during installation or repairs.

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
