Job Description: Responsible for the daily activities related to the installation of contract furniture systems. Duties may also include delivery, assembly, installation, repair and service of warranty and non-warranty office furniture case-goods and seating.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Ability to read construction and CAD installation blueprints, and Install contract systems furniture
- Capable of field measuring a worksite in preparation for installation
- Complete furniture assembly/installation as per installation specifications and drawings
- Assess and document service related issues
- Repair and service systems furniture, casegoods and seating
- Follow all safety procedures as designated by Project Manager or site
- Ability to unload incoming furniture trucks using material handling equipment (i.e., forklift, pallet jack)
Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- Must be able to lift, push or pull product weighing between 50 pounds and 100 pounds
- Minimum of two (2) years experience as a contract furniture installer
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Experience driving lightweight trucks preferred
- Experience in using hand and electrical tools to assemble furniture
- Ability to read and speak the English language sufficient to converse with the general public
- Ability to respond to official inquiries, and to make written entries on reports and records
- Excellent customer service skills, conducting customer contact in a professional and courteous manner
