Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to support our aerospace and automotive manufacturing operations, specializing in metal additive manufacturing (3D printing) and post-processing. This role is responsible for inspecting parts, verifying documentation, and ensuring all products meet customer, engineering, and AS9100 quality requirements before release.
The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, understands traceability and inspection standards, and is comfortable working closely with production, engineering, and quality teams in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Inspection & Quality Control
- Perform in-process and final inspections of additive manufactured and machined metal parts.
- Verify parts against engineering drawings, specifications, and routers.
- Conduct dimensional inspections using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other precision measurement tools.
- Perform visual inspections for surface defects, build quality, and workmanship.
Documentation & Traceability
- Ensure full part traceability (material certs, lot numbers, travelers, inspection records).
- Review and complete inspection documentation in accordance with AS9100 / ISO 9001 requirements.
- Capture inspection photos and upload records to internal systems.
- Support nonconformance documentation and corrective action processes.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Communicate inspection findings clearly with production, engineering, and quality leadership.
- Escalate quality concerns promptly to prevent downstream issues.
- Assist with internal audits and audit preparation activities.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality, inspection flow, and documentation accuracy.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or manufacturing training preferred.
- 2+ years of experience as a Quality Inspector in aerospace, precision manufacturing, or advanced manufacturing.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality systems.
- Experience using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation accuracy.
- Comfortable working in a production/manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with additive manufacturing (metal 3D printing) or post-processing environments.
- Knowledge of aerospace alloys (Inconel, titanium, aluminum, stainless steel).
- Experience supporting FAI packages, audits, and customer inspections.
- Familiarity with ERP, QMS, or digital inspection systems.

Pay: $24.32 - $29.29 per hour
