Position Overview:
Censys Technologies Corporation is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Field Operations Coordinator to join its Customer Success Team. This position serves as the primary operational liaison between customers and flight operations personnel, ensuring successful planning, execution, processing, and delivery of aerial data collection projects.
The Field Operations Coordinator is responsible for coordinating mission planning activities, supporting airspace deconfliction efforts, managing project workflows, overseeing data processing and quality control, and ensuring timely completion of customer deliverables. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced operational environment, possesses strong communication and organizational skills, and can balance customer expectations with mission execution requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact between customers and flight operations teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate customer project requirements, schedules, deliverables, and operational updates.
- Support flight planning activities, including mission coordination, scheduling, and operational readiness.
- Coordinate airspace deconfliction efforts and assist with obtaining operational approvals and clearances as required.
- Manage operational communications between customers, pilots, sensor operators, and internal stakeholders.
- Track project status, milestones, and completion metrics, providing regular reports to the Director of Customer Success.
- Coordinate field team logistics and operational support activities to ensure efficient mission execution.
- Assist with aerial data collection operations as needed, including occasional participation in field deployments and flight activities.
- Oversee data-processing workflows to ensure timely delivery of customer products and services.
- Maintain organized project records, operational documentation, and customer communications.
- Perform data quality assurance and quality control reviews to verify deliverable accuracy and completeness.
- Identify and implement process improvements that enhance operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and project execution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve operational challenges and ensure successful project outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in aviation, geospatial technologies, remote sensing, project management, operations, or a related field.
- Experience with GIS as well as photogrammetry and LiDAR data processing.
- Strong organizational, planning, and project coordination skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and cloud-based collaboration tools.
- Ability to work effectively with customers, technical personnel, and operational teams.
- Up to 80% travel.
- FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting aviation, unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), aerial mapping, geospatial data collection, or remote sensing operations.
- Familiarity with flight planning, airspace coordination, and aviation regulations.
- Experience with Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) operations.
- Experience using CRM, project management, or operational planning software.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
