Bludso's BBQ in Van Nuys is seeking a skilled and dedicated Line Cook and Takeout Specialist to join our kitchen team. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in preparing and cooking our delicious barbecue dishes with precision and consistency, ensuring that our guests receive high-quality meals in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of barbecue dishes following established recipes and guidelines
- Pack To-go orders and assist guests.
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary ingredients and cooking equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage and labeling of ingredients
- Support the team in maintaining a positive and cooperative work environment
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role is required
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure, fast-paced kitchen environment
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays
- Strong knife skills and experience working with meat.
- Bilingual; Spanish and English
