Building Manager – Caprice Property

Property: Caprice Property – 30 Unit Apartment Building
Position Type: Full-Time / On-Site
Caprice Property is seeking a reliable, organized, and professional Building Manager who will live on-site and oversee the day-to-day operations of a 30-unit residential apartment community in Playa del Rey. The ideal candidate will be responsive to tenants, proactive with property maintenance, and capable of ensuring the building is well maintained and operating efficiently.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the apartment building
- Serve as the primary point of contact for tenants
- Coordinate maintenance requests and repairs
- Perform routine property inspections and report issues
- Ensure cleanliness and upkeep of common areas
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and service providers
- Monitor building security and safety concerns
- Assist with tenant move-ins and move-outs
- Enforce property rules and lease policies professionally
- Collect and document maintenance information and tenant communications
- Respond to emergency maintenance situations when necessary
- Monitor laundry facilities and common building equipment
- Assist ownership/management with general administrative tasks related to the property
Qualifications
- Previous property management or building management experience preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Basic knowledge of building maintenance and repairs
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Professional demeanor and dependable work ethic
- Bilingual skills are a plus but not required
- Familiarity with California landlord-tenant practices preferred
Schedule
- Flexible schedule with availability for emergencies and occasional after-hours issues
Caprice Property is looking for someone who takes pride in maintaining a safe, clean, and well-managed residential community while providing excellent service to tenants.
Pay: $35,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
