Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Maintenance Engineer II to join our healthcare facility team, supporting the operation and upkeep of critical building systems and equipment. This role offers opportunities to work on a variety of maintenance tasks during 2nd and 3rd shifts, ensuring a safe, efficient, and comfortable environment for patients, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and possess a strong foundation in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. Your expertise will directly contribute to the seamless operation of our facility through proactive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities.
Duties
- Perform preventive maintenance on facilities equipment including HVAC systems, electrical panels, plumbing systems, and mechanical devices using schematics and technical manuals.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment utilizing tools such as ohmmeters, hand tools, and specialized diagnostic instruments.
- Conduct welding, carpentry, painting, and general building interior maintenance to uphold safety standards and aesthetic quality.
- Maintain HVAC systems by inspecting components, replacing filters, repairing ductwork, and ensuring optimal climate control.
- Use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule future tasks.
- Supervise or assist with plumbing system repairs including leak detection, pipe replacement, and fixture repairs in compliance with safety protocols.
- Lead or support team efforts in facilities maintenance projects while ensuring adherence to safety regulations and quality standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to internal requests for repairs or maintenance needs across hospital departments.
Requirements
- Proven experience with maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) across multiple building systems including electrical work, HVAC repair, plumbing system maintenance, carpentry, painting, and welding.
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by experience with schematics for troubleshooting complex systems.
- Proficiency in electrical equipment repair using tools such as ohmmeters; electrical experience is essential.
- Ability to operate hand tools safely and effectively; familiarity with plumbing tools is required.
- Experience supervising or leading maintenance teams is preferred but not mandatory; leadership skills are highly valued.
- Knowledge of residential painting techniques alongside facilities-specific painting projects.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management; experience with HVAC system repair is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills in English to collaborate effectively with team members and internal clients.
- Ability to interpret technical schematics and diagrams related to building interior maintenance.
- Valid certifications or training in HVAC systems repair, electrical work, plumbing repairs or related fields are desirable.

Pay: $22.97 - $30.48 per hour
