We're looking for someone available to pick up 1-2 or 3 shifts per week, with some Friday availability required for surgical days. Flexibility to work at both our Hammond and Crown Point locations is essential.

Your Role:
As a Staff Nurse, you will provide comprehensive nursing care in our Pre-Operative, Operating Room, and Recovery areas. Your responsibilities will include:
- Evaluating and making critical nursing judgments regarding patient conditions.
- Assisting with surgical procedures and circulating duties.
- Admitting patients, reviewing their history and physical, and managing post-operative reports.
- Operating and monitoring various systems, equipment, and instrumentation.
- Assisting with patient transportation, positioning, and pre-operative preparation.
- Administering medications and parenteral fluids according to physician orders.
- Monitoring and assessing patient conditions throughout their pre- and post-operative period, reporting any unusual occurrences.
- Maintaining accurate control of supplies and medications, including meticulous documentation.
- Providing instruction, information, and counseling to patients and their families.
- Ensuring the Operating Room and Recovery Room equipment are maintained aseptically and functionally.
What You Bring:
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative spirit.
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current Indiana Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- CPR certification.
- ACLS certificaton.
- BLS certification.
- Physical capability to position and transport patients and equipment within reasonable limits.
- Surgical experience is a plus!
