CABS Health Network is seeking an experienced Acountant or Certified Public Accountant (CPA - Preferred) to serve as our Financial Controller / Associate Director of Finance. This senior leadership role is responsible for overseeing the organization's accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, audits, internal controls, and financial compliance while supporting the continued growth of our healthcare programs.
Reporting to the Director of Business Operations, the Financial Controller will provide leadership to the Finance Department, supervising the Finance Manager, Revenue Cycle Manager, Payroll Manager, and Accounting & Financial Operations staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process.
- Prepare and oversee accurate financial statements and management reports.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and financial analysis.
- Coordinate annual audits and ensure audit readiness.
- Oversee internal controls, accounting policies, and financial compliance.
- Supervise accounting, payroll, and revenue cycle operations.
- Support executive leadership with financial planning and strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with Medicaid, managed care, grant, and regulatory financial requirements.
Required Qualifications
- CPA Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum 7 years of progressive accounting and financial leadership experience.
- Minimum 3 years of healthcare finance leadership experience.
- Experience in a Licensed Home Care Services Agency (LHCSA), home care agency, or similar healthcare organization is required.
- Experience managing federal, state, or private grant funding and grant financial reporting is required.
- Experience with Medicaid reimbursement, managed care, and healthcare financial reporting.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, budgeting, financial reporting, audits, and internal controls.
- Demonstrated experience leading finance teams and developing staff.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with nonprofit healthcare finance.
- Experience with New York State Department of Health financial reporting and Medicaid reimbursement.
- Experience with ERP or healthcare financial management systems.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
