Duties
- Assist with meal preparation.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, slicers, ovens, and other culinary tools
- Prepare ingredients through slicing, chopping, and portioning using proper techniques such as slicing methods and knife skills
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen by cleaning workstations, utensils, and equipment in accordance with food safety standards
- Support food handling procedures to ensure safe storage, transportation, and serving of meals
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal production and address any operational needs
- Follow safety protocols during food preparation to prevent contamination or accidents
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service environments.
- Knowledge of food preparation, and cooking techniques
- Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong understanding of food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in production
- Ability to handle food properly while maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with kitchen staff
- Experience with catering or large-scale meal preparation is a plus
- Basic culinary skills such as knife handling, slicing techniques, and recipe adherence are highly desirable
