Surgical Technologist
Location: Burlington, MA 01805
Shift: 8:00 AM – 8:30 PM (12-hour shifts)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Summary
The Labor & Delivery Surgical Technologist provides technical support during obstetric and surgical procedures in an acute hospital setting, ensuring a safe, sterile environment and efficient patient care. The role requires advanced experience in Labor & Delivery and surgical technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain the sterile field before and during obstetric and surgical procedures.
- Assist surgeons and nurses by passing instruments and supplies as needed.
- Ensure proper handling and care of surgical instruments and specimens.
- Support patient care teams during C-sections and other OB/GYN procedures.
- Maintain compliance with infection control and safety standards.
- Participate in on-call and weekend rotations as assigned by the facility.
Requirements
- Must-Have Requirements
- 3+ years of Surgical Tech/CST experience
- Large hospital experience – REQUIRED
- Strong experience across multiple surgical services
- Must be independently competent with:
- Transplant
- Cardiac
- Vascular
- Epic experience – REQUIRED
- BLS
- NBSTSA certification – REQUIRED
- Flu vaccine required before start
