BAGGAGE HANDLER
SUMMARY: Assist the Airline and it’s agents in the most efficient manner possible.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lift bags and place them on and off of a conveyor belt.
- Follow Airline directions for irregular operations.
- Take bags back and forth to and from designated areas.
- Load luggage carts when necessary.
- Must be able to bend and lift up to 70 pounds on a regular basis.
- Must be able to lift, squat, stoop, push, stand, and bend throughout the course of a shift.
- Must be able to stand and walk throughout the course of a shift.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- High School Diploma or equivalent may be required in some locations.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Ability to read, write and speak follows verbal and written instructions in English.
- Strong customer service skills required.
- Must possess a professional image, attitude
- Must become familiar with and retain knowledge of company forms required for this position.
- Must successfully complete applicable technology related training.
- Must follow company guidelines on uniform standards.
- Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test as required (DOT or Non DOT) and submit to
random testing requirements.
