Join our dynamic retail team as a Retail Store Associate and become the friendly face of our store! In this energetic role, you’ll deliver exceptional customer service, assist shoppers with their needs, and ensure the store operates smoothly.
At BuyBackX, you will get to interact, touch, test, and play with the technology of all different types. We buyback the largest amount of items so no two days are the same.
Our Retail Tech Specialists quote, test, and directly interact with customers in the front of the store and then process items for resale in the back of house. You will be exposed to online ecommerce listings and get direct hands on experience with all things consumer tech.
We will provide thorough training to get you up and running quickly.

Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly, listen attentively to their needs, and provide accurate buyback quotes using our automated pricing software
- Test, evaluate and prep items for resale such as iPhones, smartphones, Macbooks, gaming consoles, laptops, PCs, smartwatches, and much, much more.
- Interact with our proprietary inventory system and create accurate product descriptions
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently for retail sales transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing.
- Assist with merchandising efforts by organizing displays, stocking shelves, and ensuring products are attractively presented.
- Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels through stock replenishment and inventory management tasks.
- Uphold excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely.
- Support supervisory staff by supervising team members during shifts and ensuring store policies are followed.
Experience
- Love of tech a must
- Previous e-commerce experience through marketplaces a plus
- Strong consumer electronics knowledge
- Previous experience building PCs or troubleshooting tech a plus
- Previous retail sales experience is preferred, especially in grocery or specialty stores.
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and retail math calculations.
- Demonstrated customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Supervising experience is a plus, showcasing leadership capabilities in a retail environment.
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases effectively.
- Experience with merchandising, stocking, product demos, and upselling techniques enhances your fit for this role.
- Knowledge of phone etiquette, cash handling procedures, and retail sales transactions ensures smooth daily operations.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
