Front Desk Receptionist Job Summary
Walnut Springs Family Health is seeking a friendly, professional, and dependable Front Desk Receptionist to join our growing healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients and visitors, creating a welcoming and positive experience while ensuring efficient front office operations.
This position requires excellent customer service skills, strong multitasking abilities, and the capability to work independently in a fast-paced medical office environment. Candidates must be reliable, adaptable, and willing to travel to other clinic locations as needed. Experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW)(EMR). Spanish-speaking applicants are strongly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients, visitors, and vendors in a professional and courteous manner.
- Answer and manage multi-line phone systems using proper phone etiquette.
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments.
- Check patients in and out accurately and efficiently.
- Verify insurance information and update patient demographics.
- Obtain and update HIPAA forms, consent forms, and other required patient documentation.
- Collect copays, balances, and process payments.
- Maintain accurate patient records within eClinicalWorks (eCW) EMR.
- Assist patients with portal access and general office inquiries.
- Coordinate communication between providers, nursing staff, and patients.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and electronic correspondence.
- Perform data entry, filing, scanning, and other clerical duties.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area.
- Assist with office projects and administrative tasks as assigned.
- Travel to other clinic locations when needed to support office operations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous medical office or front desk experience preferred but not required.
- Experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) EMR preferred.
- Spanish speaking preferred.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to think independently, use good judgment, and problem-solve effectively.
- Dependable, punctual, and reliable attendance.
- Positive attitude with a commitment to excellent customer service.
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness and reliable transportation to travel between clinic locations as needed.
