Mannix Heating and Cooling is seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of HVAC systems across various properties. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse equipment, including A/C units, heat pumps, gas furnaces, boilers, and pool heat pumps. If you are an experienced technician with at least five years in the HVAC trade, this is the perfect role for you!
Duties
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioning A/C units, heat pumps, and gas furnaces.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure optimal operation and longevity.
- Conduct HVAC repairs such as compressor replacements, TXV replacements, blower motor replacements and other related repairs.
- Use specialized tools like ohmmeters for electrical testing and welding equipment for system repairs when necessary.
- Maintain detailed service records, complete call reports, and document all repairs performed.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and local building codes during installation and repair activities.
- Operate a vehicle safely to transport tools or equipment between job sites (a clean driving record is required).
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as an HVAC service technician.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair, refrigeration, brazing, and electrical components.
- Ability to read schematics accurately and apply HVAC design principles effectively.
- Proficiency with electrical testing tools such as ohmmeters; experience with appliance repair is a plus.
- Mechanical aptitude combined with excellent problem-solving skills in field service settings.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- NATE certification is a plus.

Pay: $26.00 - $45.00 per hour
