Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the care and well-being of animals in our facility. You will work closely with various breeds of dogs, ensuring they receive the attention, exercise, and care they need. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about animal welfare and looking to gain experience in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, basic grooming, and exercising.
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels and play areas to ensure a safe environment for all pets.
- Monitor animal behavior and health, reporting any concerns to management.
- Assist with dog training and socialization activities as needed.
- Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques during grooming or medical procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' needs and behaviors.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss animal care protocols and improvements.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
