PURPOSE
The Staff Accountant role is responsible for learning and applying their technical skills and working as part of a team carrying out tasks under close coaching and supervision.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform bookkeeping activities including recording income and expenses, bank and other account reconciliation, and adjusting journal entries.
- Preparation of payroll and payroll related tax deposits and returns including multi-state deposits and returns.
- Preparation of sales and use tax returns including multi-state returns.
- Preparation of compiled financial statements including compilation reports.
- Staff preparation of individual income tax returns.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
- Minimum of an Associates degree in accounting or related experience.
- Developing technical knowledge regarding specific responsibilities.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- Team player with a positive – ‘can do’ approach.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- A general and growing knowledge of firm products and services.
- Strong technology skills including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, and tax preparation software as well as standard office equipment.
Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
