Bachus & Schanker is one of the largest and most preeminent personal injury law firms in Colorado. We are adding a senior trial attorney to our team of approximately thirty attorneys. We have a large team of supportive attorneys, along with a dedicated paralegal to your practice, and technological and financial resources to support you and your clients.
We recently tied for the CTLA Case of the Year Award, and we have the resources to provide you with all the cases you need, without having to handle business development efforts. We also consistently give back to the community through our Cares Foundation.
You will work with your own full-time paralegal and have the ability to work your caseload independently, as well as have the flexibility to manage your time and your in-office hours.
Qualified individuals must be in good standing and licensed to practice law in the State of Colorado and must also be licensed in Federal Court for the District of Colorado.
We require a minimum of five years of civil litigation experience. Our ideal attorney is well versed in drafting pleadings, conducting depositions of individual defendants, corporate defendants and experts, preparing and responding to written discovery, motions practice, and jury trials. Civil jury trial experience is also a requirement for this position.
We are seeking individuals with outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to multi-task. You must be deadline-oriented, have attention to detail, and a commitment to providing superior client service with excellent communication skills.

The Firm offers a competitive compensation package that includes a strong base salary and generous commission structure with the opportunity to earn $200,000 to $350,000 annually.
Role Description:
- The successful attorney will handle a very manageable caseload of personal injury litigation cases, from start of litigation through trial.
- Drafting pleadings, conducting depositions, preparing and responding to written discovery, and motions practice.
- Analyzing case records and analyzing legal issues on case.
- Retaining experts, meeting with experts, and preparing expert disclosures.
- Negotiating settlements.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed and in good standing to practice law in the State of Colorado.
- 5+ years of experience handling personal injury civil litigation
- Civil jury trial experience.
- Well versed in Colorado Rules of Civil Procedures, with experience in civil discovery and motions practice.
- High attention to detail and proven record of civil case docket and deadline management.
