Harry & Fritz is a new, independently owned restaurant opening in downtown Pittsburgh. Rooted in classic American dining heritage and interpreted through a contemporary lens, we are building a kitchen team that values craft, consistency, and attention to detail at every level. We're looking for a reliable, skilled Daytime Prep Cook to help lay the foundation for great service every day.
The Role
As a Prep Cook at Harry & Fritz, you'll be the backbone of our kitchen operation — ensuring that every station is stocked, every component is prepared to standard, and our line cooks are set up for a successful service. This is a daytime position focused on mise en place, recipe execution, and maintaining the quality and consistency our kitchen is built on.
What We're Looking For
- Prior prep or kitchen experience in a restaurant setting preferred
- Solid knife skills and comfort with a range of prep techniques
- Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistent quality and portion standards
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
- A clean, detail-oriented approach to your work and your station
- Dependable, punctual, and a reliable presence on the daytime shift
- A team-first attitude and good communication with kitchen staff
- Genuine interest in food and a willingness to learn
