Employment Type: Full-time (40 hours per week) Monday – Thursday, weather permitting.
Crew Member Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour (depending on experience).

Position Summary:
Young American Conservation Corps (YACC), a program of Community Training Works (CTW), is offering a roadside maintenance position.
CTW is a nonprofit environmental conservation corps that empowers individuals from all backgrounds and abilities to contribute purposefully to their community through education and hands-on experience. Our crews impact communities through work on public lands, roads and waterways. We envision a world where individuals utilize intelligence and positive energy to improve their lives, community and the environment.
We are looking for individuals who enjoy working outdoors and feel fulfilled by Improving the community in which they live. This service takes place on public roads, lands and waterways (highways, retention ponds and outfall ditches, municipal and rural roads and rights-of-way).
Positions Available:
2 Crew Member positions available
- $16.00 - $18.00 per hour (depending on experience).
- Weed eater/brush cutter experience is preferred.
- We are targeting young adults 18-35 yr olds, but all ages are encouraged to apply!
Description of Project Work:
· Mowing, edging, sweeping, litter removal, brush removal, tree removal, sign washing, occasional fence and guardrail repair.
· Perform daily tool maintenance and equipment repairs as needed.
Eligibility Requirements:
· Valid driver’s license with no suspension in the last year.
· Must be able to carry at least 45 pounds and hike through various terrains for 1 to 4 miles.
· Must be enthusiastic about working outdoors and have a respect for nature.
- Must be willing to work outside in unpredictable Florida weather including but not limited to extreme heat, cool, and windy conditions.
· Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening.
· Must have reliable transportation to meet each morning
· Experience in roadside maintenance, landscaping, zero turn mowers, saws, Stihl weed eaters, edgers and brush cutters is a plus but not necessary.
