Duties
- Provide professional barbering services including haircuts, shaves, beard trims, and grooming consultations tailored to each client’s preferences
- Utilize advanced techniques such as straight razor shaves, hair extensions, and hair threading to enhance client satisfaction
- Maintain a clean, sanitized workspace in accordance with health regulations and salon standards
- Use salon software like MINDBODY to schedule appointments, process transactions, and manage client records efficiently
- Offer expert advice on hair color theory, styling options, and retail products to boost sales and client loyalty
- Assist at the front desk by greeting clients, managing appointments, and upselling retail products such as hair care and nail care items
- Mentor junior team members on haircutting techniques, sanitation practices, and customer service excellence
Requirements
- Valid cosmetology or barbering license with comprehensive knowledge of current trends and techniques
- Experience with hair extensions, eyelash extensions, makeup application, and nail care is a plus
- Proficiency in salon software systems like MINDBODY for scheduling and retail management
- Strong understanding of sanitation protocols to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
- Excellent communication skills to connect with clients and understand their grooming needs
- Knowledge of retail math and upselling strategies to enhance revenue opportunities
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Store management or mentoring experience is desirable but not required
