Neuroscience & Spine Associates (NASA) is a patient-focused multi-specialty group practice specializing in neurology, neurosurgery, orthopedics, and pain management. We offer comprehensive services, including an MRI for diagnostic imaging, physical and occupational therapy, an office-based surgery suite, and a multitude of other services. Duties:
- Escorts patients to exam area.
- Performs intake with patients. Documents Past Family and Social Hx, documents vital signs and current medications.
- Prepares and assists with injections/aspirations and assisting with medical procedures.
- Applies cast, splints, braces as directed by provider.
- Cleans exam rooms and keep exam rooms stocked with supplies
- Provide medical administrative support, such as maintaining patient records, and coordinating referrals.
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist healthcare providers during patient visits.
- Extensive & complicated prior authorization for medications, coordinate MRI with IV infusions, answer messages and room patients.
Experience:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification preferred.
Skills:
- Detailed oriented
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, healthcare providers, and other staff members.
- Knowledge of medication administration techniques and dosage calculations.
- Proficient in medical terminology and documentation.
- Knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical procedures.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems.
