Biomedical equipment technicians are responsible for inspecting, calibrating, testing, and repairing medical equipment, and do so by using a variety of tools and computer applications.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Performs scheduled maintenance inspections and performance assurance inspections on equipment to ensure safe and effective operating conditions

Tests and calibrate components using a variety of manuals, troubleshooting techniques, and code requirements

Ensures compliance with safety regulations and policies

Ensures documentation is complete, timely, and accurate

Repairs and replaces complex biomedical equipment and systems
-
Installs and adjusts a variety of biomedical and research equipment
-
Diagnoses equipment malfunctions with accuracy and precision
Education: High School diploma/GED required. Vocational/Technical degree in Electronics/Networking preferred.
