What you'll do
Design and execute risk-based audit plans from initial scoping through fieldwork completion and final deliverable issuance.
Perform detailed reviews of workpapers, financial statements, and technical documentation to ensure GAAP and GAAS compliance.
Lead, coach, and evaluate audit staff across concurrent engagements, providing hands-on technical guidance and performance feedback.
Act as the primary operational contact for clients, building strong relationships with finance executives and audit committees.
Evaluate internal controls, assess reporting risks, and formulate clear, actionable remediation recommendations.
Draft and finalize audit reports for presentation to management and board-level stakeholders.
Manage engagement economics, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure on-time delivery.
What you need
4+ years of progressive public accounting audit experience with demonstrated staff supervision responsibilities.
Active CPA license (or active CPA candidate near completion).
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Deep practical knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and standard audit automation software.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex findings clearly.
Nice to have
Experience managing multiple concurrent engagements within a regional or national CPA firm.
Industry-specific audit experience in sectors such as manufacturing, non-profit, or financial services.
Prior involvement in campus recruiting, staff onboarding, or internal technical training.

Base salary: $85,000-$110,000 per year depending on experience.
